Turtle Bread Company Minneapolis Reviews
Artisan breads and good breakfast Oct 03, 2010
Turtle Bread was recommended by a friend who lives a few blocks away. We were gathered to watch another friend run the Twin Cities Marathon, but met here for a delicious breakfast first. They have an assortment of artisan breads, pastries, quiche, and made to order breakfasts.
The large, open floor has plenty of tables to sit at, plus several tables and shelves of goodies to choose from. You can see the bakery operations behind the dining area.
I ordered a ham and cheese scramble with rosemary potatoes. It was delicious! My friend ordered a quiche from the display case that was heated up for her and she thought it was one of the best quiches she had eaten. I loved the assortment of breads and pastries and even bought an almond covered roll for later (it was very good!).
Parking is somewhat limited on the street. This is more of a neighborhood store that people walk to from their homes. But it is definitely worth a visit, especially if you are looking for Artisan breads or fresh rolls reminiscent of Europe.
