Tunisiana Reviews

Tunisiana...what do I say? This is a favorite restaurant in Paris, and living in Paris has revealed my affection for food! We stumbled upon it one afternoon and stopped in to see what was offered (as there are very few Tunisian restaurants and most are snack-type places) and we were instantly hooked. If you've never had the Northern African cuisine, start with the chicken (poulet) couscous...it is easy and, frankly, fabulous. If you feel adventurous, the couscous maison offers a spicy meatball like no other...there are also specials that vary from day-to-day. The best part is that you can dine family style (which I recommend) so order a few dishes and see what you like. I've had different things every time I've been there (which is A LOT because it is a favorite) and I've yet to have something I've disliked. The items with lamb, particularly the specials, are the best. Don't order a starter, as they will put vegetables (carrots, radishes, olives) on your table before the main course. The deserts are fabulous, although I prefer to avoid the cream deserts and have pastries and tea. (Whatever your preference, it's a win-win situation). Bon appetit!
