The most convenient Transit hotel Mar 22, 2012
The Tune Hotel is managed by the best low cost private airline company called Air Asia. The hotel is at the LCCT or the low cost carrier terminal at Kuala Lumpur. It is the best bet for transit passengers and is just a 15 minute drive from the KL International airport, accessible by taxi or for 3 RM by bus.Bang opposite the LCCT terminal the transit bus takes you there for 1RM.A no frill hotel,it has a tidy compact room for two with good bed and covers.Toilet and shower are also clean. It is very cheap and costs only about 35 Myr for two which includes a refundable caution deposit. You may have to pay separately for Air conditioning depending upon how many hours you have planned to stay.

The hotel basement has a convenience store, restaurant and bar.Transit buses leave every 30 minutes from the hotel. If you prefer to do some shopping or dine as per choice just walk across to the LCCT airport.

A very economically priced, most convenient and popular transit hotel at Kuala Lumpur so check on it when the occasion arise and make sure to book in advance.

Tune Hotels Mar 05, 2012
The Tune hotel has tiny rooms, not very well cleaned – there is no space for your bags at all, and you can’t fully open the door because the bed is in the way. It is a little noisy, although not too bad, and rooms are accessed from outside corridors.

Towels are an optional extra. As you have an option for towel plus A/C, or no towel and no A/C, and the packs only contain one towel, there doesn’t seem to be any way of getting a second towel, even if two of you are sharing a room. This is a little annoying.

There really is only one reason you would stay here – if you were flying into KL late at night and leaving early in the morning. And (apart from breakfast not starting in time) it works very well for that purpose. It is a very short walk from the airport and if all you want is somewhere to lay your head, it works fine for that. For any other kind of stay, I think you would want to consider a hotel where you can open the door without crashing into the bed.

Reasons to Choose Tune Hotels

Sometimes, all you really need from a hotel is a hot shower and a good night's rest. That's why, our limited service hotels offer beds at very affordable prices by getting rid of costly full service extras (pools, spas, saunas, room service or the like) that you just don't need and shouldn't have to pay for.

5-star beds

Our Tune beds feature high quality spring mattress beds with pillows, pillowcases, bed sheets and 250-thread count duvets, custom-made for our requirements by bedmakers who supply 5-star hotels - the basis of our promise for 5-star beds!

Power showers

Each of our rooms feature ensuite (attached) private bathrooms with high-pressure, heated Power Showers. So even though you're paying minimal room rates, you're still enjoying premium showers in maximum privacy.

Central & convenient locations

All Tune Hotels are strategically located close to major shopping, sightseeing and business destinations. Nearby each hotel, you'll find established convenience store operators and food & beverage outlets to give you reliable facilities within easy reach.

Clean environment

We provide housekeeping services to ensure you have a clean and pleasant stay with us.

Through our affordable pay-as-you-use system of add-ons for energy-consuming facilities and amenities, we try to help you conserve both your funds as well as the earth's resources.

Click here to fine-tune your stay with these optional add-ons

24-hour security

Our hotels use electronic key card access into rooms, CCTV cameras, round-the-clock on duty reception staff and no access to the main lobby without a keycard past midnight.

This hotel is perfect if you just need to put your head down and recharge before heading out again.

The rooms are very small, but satisfactory-how much room do you really need?

It has a great shower and you can pay extra for air cond. but there is a ceiling fan, so it's not really necessary.

There is a 7-11 on the premises which is good for basics and snacks and there's also a restaurant and bar.

If you arrive at KLIA, get the bus (2nd floor) to LCCT- 2.50 ringget- and you will see the tune hotel. It's a 5 minute walk away.

Cheap and cheerful

Budget Hotel with a New Concept Sep 24, 2009
It can be said that I am a fan of AirAsia.com, cause it is cheap and offer us many destinations in South-East Asia. So, when I saw that they have their own hotels, I am interested to try ;-)

I fell in love with the hotel at the first sight because it is new, colorful, and the interior is simple. "I have to stay there," that was I thought when I saw it in the internet.

"Our limited service hotels offer a 5-star sleeping experience at a 1-star price by getting rid of costly full service extras that sometimes, you just don’t need… and shouldn’t have to pay for just to get a decent night’s sleep," is the concept that I like. It is very true ;-)

These are what you should know about the hotel:

- Bring your own towel, soap, shampoo, tooth brush, and tooth paste, cause it is not part of the service. But, you can rent the towel and buy the rest at Seven Eleven at the lobby.

- You have to pay more for AC and you can choose whether you will use it for 12 or 24 hours. But, the room is equipped with a big ceiling fan.

- Breakfast is not included to the price. But, you can buy it easily at Seven Eleven, Subway, or a restaurant at the lobby.

- The room is small, the bed is very comfortable, the warm rain shower is super.

- The location is good and closed to 2 train stations, i.e. Sultan Ismail (Rapid KL LRT Station) and Medan Tuanku (Monorail Station).

- There is no telephone in the room and the staff is limited and unfortunately my friend and I got unpleasant experience with one of front officers. I left a message for Fran and the officer said that there was no message for her. When I reminded him about the message, he didn’t appologize to us, and even he didn’t feel guilty at all :P

- Last but not least, I like the interior of the room. There are 2 mirrors in the bed room and 3 in the bath room. The mirrors make the room feels larger. And the unique thing that you can’t find at any other hotels is there are ads everywhere, elevator, corridor, bed room, and even bath room. If you are hungry, you just dial Mc Donald number that you can read on the bed room wall :P Delivered to your bed room and no minimum order ;-)

I can say that the hotel is worthed to try ;-)

Tune Hotel Kuala Lumpur Apr 08, 2008
On a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur I stayed at the Tune Hotel.

Here is my view of the pros and cons:

Pros: The price can be very cheap if you book in plenty of time ,it can be a low as 9.99RM ($3.00) per night;

however, my rate was 46RM ($14.00) as I did not book far enough ahead. It is great value for your money but you will pay for all extras such as towels and air conditioning.

The rooms were clean with great beds and showers.

The location is very good-- only a 5 min walk to the monorail station (Medan Tuanku). When on the monorail, you

are only three stops away from the downtown station of Bukit Bintang.

There is a shopping centre across the street which has a few restaurants, as well as local bars and cafes.

Inside the hotel are great amenities such as a 7-Eleven store, Subway restaurant, and a small coffee shop with a limited

There is a 5-terminal computer station with complimentary use for hotel guests.

Minibus and shuttle services into the city, any of the airports and also for tours are available.

24 hour security.

Now the Cons:

The rooms are very small

No tables or chairs in the rooms--other than a small fold down shelf--so there's no place to put your things.

No TV ( I like a tv when traveling alone so I can see and hear the world news )

I did hear from the hotel staff that some of the other Tune Hotels do have TV's.

Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if street noise is going to bother you--the street in front is busy.

All in all, I would recommend the Tune Hotel if you are just on a one or two night stopover,

but it is a no-frills hotel!

The hotel is very easy to spot as it is painted Red and White, just like the Air Asia planes--after all, it is owned by them.

It's a new hotel right smack in the middle of town. Easy transportation, many places to dine around and easy to get to anywhere. You pay for what you need, so it can be extremely cheap without all the frills. Good for backpackers.

It's clean since it's a new hotel. You get standard shower bathrooms, queen sized comfy bed (depending on the type of room you require, I think) and you can get anything easily, if not from the hotel, from the shops nearby. You can save on towels, toiletries and aircond if you don't need those. Just pay for what you need.
