Tuguegarao Vacation Guide
Tuguegarao, the capital of Cagayan Province and the regional center of the Cagayan Valley Region, is located some 500km north of Manila.
There are a few museums and churches worth checking out.
Daytrips can be made either to Lallo, one of the oldest cities of the Philippines or to Callao where you can visit the wonderful caves.
From Manila, Tuguegarao can be reached either by land or air. Travelling by bus is 12 hours.
Attractions include Basilica of Our Lady of Piat, Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, Callao Caves, the Buntun Bridge which is the second-longest bridge in the country.

Callao Cave of Peña Blanca, Patapat Viaduct, Pagudpod, Marcos Museum, Paoay Church, Vigan. The 14 hours drive from Manila to Cagayan seems to be endless but the travel experience is well worth it. We brought along a cooler with lots booze. so we were drinking a long the way. nice sceneries and weather..specially along the Nueva Vizcaya mountain range. Travelling up north is like going back centuries ago, old churches and houses. the peoples way off life and its cultural isolation.
