Tugu Proklamasi - or Proclamation statue is a statue of 2 of Indonesia's Independence Proclamators who are our first President and Vice President.
This statue is located in an open space - two big statues from black marble and in the middle there is the inscription of proclamation manuscript. Nothing else than that - but this area is used for the people to hang out enjoying the evening breeze or as a place for any special events around Independence day celebration or even a protest/demonstration. In front of the area there are several food carts - made it a one stop place to gather and enjoy some snacks/meals!  Part of the Jakarta 2009 till.....(Indonesia) travel blog
