Tudor Park Hotel & Country Club Bearsted Maidstone

I stayed here for a couple of weeks 9 years ago. The place is huge with large rooms and a lot of grounds to explore, but it's tucked away, quite far from the actual town of Maidstone. While you can't walk to Maidstone from the hotel, you can stroll into the quaint town of Bearsted. There are few friendly pubs there and a train station with a direct line to London and to Ashford where you can pick up the Eurostar to France or Belgium. If you don't have a car here, you will definitely be dependent on cabs. The bar was always a nice social scene and the bar tenders were very friendly. I found this to be true everywhere in the Maidstone area. One night we went to an Italian restaurant in town and ended up drinking and singing the night away with the wait staff and cooks. Service at the hotel was excellent in every fashion. It's a relaxing place to stay if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the city.
