Tourist Traps to beware while visiting good ol'Tucson Dec 27, 2010
1. Old Tucson Studios:
This over priced attraction that once was famous but now lies in ruins is a trap for many visitors. Considered a Hollywood in the west and theme park, nthing prepares you for the disappointment when you arrive after reading the commercialized reviews.
2. The Thing:
If you drive along the Interstate 10 heading East, you will find numerous huge signs in bright yellow advertising "The Thing". Well, it is nothing for the prie one pays to see it. Don't set your hopes too high, I wrote a review/blog on it.
Well I would not categorize this as a trap, as I recommen it for visitors. but it is nothing like it was when it was first started as a science experiement. What is left of it is still impressive, but pricey.
casinos in Tucson are only on the reservations, they are a source of income for the Native Americans. Naturally it is pricey and such a waste. Of course if you have a gambling problem, you will care less.
