Tucson International airport Feb 25, 2009
Tucson International airport is a small airport located in Tucson, Arizona's second largest city after Phoenix. It does not service too many flights because of it's capacity. It is well designed for easy access, easy to get around because everything seems to be at a lattitude level with only two storeys. The signs for each airline is clearly marked outside the departure area from where the check=in counters can be seem through huge clear glass windows. The arrival and departure information board is located by the restrooms, easy to read and accessible. It is services by two restaurants once you are inside the gate area past security, one gift shop, a coffee shop and a bar.

Beautiful orange coloured seats available at each gate creating such soothing ambiance. Please do not expect many International carriers here as many are partners of domestica american airlines.

I would not advise you to use the airport parking lot if you will be staying more than two days at your destinations since it becomes costly. At $8.00 a day and $4.oo an hour, it becomes costly. Parking outside the airport is available for as low as $2.50 a day with return transfers to the airport provided by the Parking management, all you have to do is tip the drivers. Please do tip them as they work for tips and a minimal wage.

Tucson International Airport is a small airport, so it is pretty easy to get around. Most of the restaurants are located past security, so if you are dropping off someone, don't expect to be able to sit with them and east lunch prior to the flight.

The airport is going through a lot of remodeling, so hopefully they can resolve this issue soon. Parking is alo pretty cheap compared to other airports.

Tucson Airport was a little more difficult than most other airports I have been too.  The security is the worst part. They do the average things after 911 but thats not as bad when you walk into a restraunt they make you take your shoes off outside the door and leave them with the gaurd. To get on the plain you need a security gaurd escort as well.

I traveled on Southwest Airlines to Kansas City, Missouri with a three-hour lay over at McCarran International airport in Las Vegas. With just three hours of a layover, I dared not go out of the airport, not with all the traffic. So I spent time eating, drinking coffee and the best part • people watching. The start of my journey was of course… An 'excuse' for a man: My Sony digital camera did not make it to KC
