Tryp Atocha Hotel Madrid
Tryp Atocha Hotel Madrid Reviews
Mid-scale hotel in a great location Jul 21, 2008
The hotel Tryp Atocha is a great mid-level property on Calle Atocha. It is located within blocks of the museums, the Parque del Retiro and Plaza Santa Ana in the Huertas/Las Letras neighborhood. The rooms were very spacious with large closets, 2 twin beds, TV, minibar and small seating area. Our room had only a view of the rest of the building, but others might have a street view. The bathrooms were large with shower/bathtub, hairdryer and plenty of light. Internet is available in the lobby for a charge. We did not purchase the breakfast option, so I cannot comment on the restaurant, but the area is full of cafes, bakeries and bars. The desk staff was very pleasant (they even let us check in early), English bilingual and were very willing to assist with tourist activities. The Anton Martin metro stop is directly in front of the hotel, making it very easily accessible from the airport.
NOTE: I am not exactly sure what the normal room rate is as we booked through priceline.com at a rate of $100USD/night. Part of the Spain and Portugal July 2008 travel blog |
