A good moutain for a scramble Nov 21, 2010
Tryfan is the lowest peak in Wales to top the magic 3000 feet mark. In fact it is often said that you are wrong to claim it as one unless you have steped between the two huge rocks of Adam and Eve at the top. (How daft can you get?). There are two far more interesting things about it.

The first is that it is the only mountain in England and wales that requires a scramble for anybody to reach the top - albeit an easy one by some routes. The second is that it has a really distinctive shape that means it can hold its own for scenic appeal even among the Glyders and Carnedds, each of which ranges holds considerably higher peaks.

For a longer walk it can be combined with Glyder Fach.
