Trujillo, the third largest city of Peru, is located on the northwestern coast of Peru. It is known as "La Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera" (The City of Everlasting Spring) because of its beautiful weather all year round. The International Spring Festival takes place in early October of each year.

Important archaeological sites from the Moche and Chimu civilization exist such as the Chimu mud city of Chan Chan, and also the Moche ruins of Huaca del Sol, Huaca de la Luna, and El Brujo.

The city is big enough to host a range of night clubs, bars, and other evening entertainment. In the day, however, viewing the colonial architecture and shopping in the markets are an enjoyable way to pass the time.
