It's about a six hour drive from our home in Visalia to Reno.  Just about 325 miles. The plan is to take our two dogs with us, which means a couple of extra stops along the way for them to sniff around and stretch their legs. We leave them with our son in Reno and they get to play with his two dogs, and they get along amazingly well. On January 4th, Northern CA got hit with pretty massive storms, causing severe flooding, blizzard like conditions with hurricane force winds in the Sierras, and much resulting damage from the wind and water.  We had plans to to be in Reno that weekend and I really wanted to stay home, even though we had no power or heat as I couldn't imagine driving on the 80 fwy through Truckee!  Being that Scott was raised in Cleveland and used to big snow storms, he couldn't be persuade...

It always amazes, to think of all the adventures that lie out there, somewhere, waiting to be discovered. It seems that every trip I take fails to shorten, only lengthening the list of places I need or want to see. The more I travel, the more I realize this list, actually, has nothing to do with it...
