I recommend the Bosphorus Boat Ride. You can purchase tickets at Kadikoy. I took my young cousins on it ages 6, 8 and 10. Basically, the boat cruises by sights, the kids enjoy being on the boat, especially if you tell them to look out for dolphins, it keeps them occupied (we actually saw some). It's also nice because the boat makes stops at various ports and you can disembark, get a bite to eat and catch the next boat onward or backward. It's a nice way to relax and sightsee in burst of 1/2 an hour to an hour and a 1/2. Great photo ops as well.
