We had somehow been misinformed the night before and the tourist bus to Trinidad left at 5:30am not 6:30am. We managed to get ourselves onto a form of local transport though (which I suspect was illegal for them to do but a lot cheaper for us and more importantly we didn't have to stay in Sancti Spiritus another day).
