Trindade Church Porto Reviews
A nice nineteenthcentury church near Trindade Nov 26, 2010
Built in the nineteenth century, Trindade Church is a small, modest but elegant church to visit in Porto. It is located less than a minute’s walk away from the Trindade metro station and right near the town hall. Entrance is free, whether you are a tourist or worshipper or both.
The church was built and designed by a very famous Portuguese architect at the time, Amarante, who is incidentally buried within the church.
Inside the church, the chapels are beautifully decorated, with the key wow factor coming from the artwork which depicts the baptism of Christ. The style is very neoclassical, and reminded me of many churches I had seen in England.
If you are near the area, this church is worth a quick visit.
