Stunning backdrop Apr 01, 2011
The waterfront at Trieste is perhaps one of the city’s best features. It stretches all the way from Piazza Unita d’Italia (and perhaps a bit earlier than that!) and continues well to Miramare Castle. The place makes for a great walk at any time of the day. I particularly like the bars that crop up near the waterfronts (in those mobile places) for evening drinks, and the wide open spaces that are great for walks. So many people come out here too, from families, young drinking parties to elderly couples out for a stroll. It really makes for a great scene while in Trieste, and affords some wonderful views too. Definitely worth walking past when you are there!
