Trencin - Trencin - TravBuddy

Want to get out of the city and just chill out with nice locals Trencin is the place for you. This is a small city located 120km from Bratislava or an 3hour train ride. Trencin is also an College Town with around 5000 students so perhaps its best to visit May and june and august, but even in july and august this small city got everything you need of castles, nightclubs.

One thing not to miss is the medieval festial which is held her in the beginning of August. Cannons are being fired, there is really good gladiator fighting on the stage and horses going around in the streets!

The city has two castles to offer, both of them way more fun than the castle in Bratislava that most people see.

There is international busses going to Praha (and perhaps more destinations) so why dont stop by if you are in prauge and are going to Bratislava and Vienna?

My wingman and me planned on one night, but we have been here three nights and doesnt really want to leave.
