Treasure Beach is in the St. Elizabeth parish on the south west side of Jamaica. It is a small town with fishing villages dotting the coastline. It's dramatically different from more touristy destinations and offers a serenity unmatched in other areas. You don't encounter the same hustle and it's quiet and relaxing. They have a handful of local restaurants serving up the local fare and even a nightclub called the Wild Onion pumping out good reggae tunes for when you need to shake things up. For accommodations, you'll find a handful of small, swanky resorts or villas to rent and there are a number of low-key activities to do. Also offered are day trips to nearby local attractions like YS Falls or the Appleton Rum Factory. Treasure Beach is the ultimate relaxation location and the place to go when you want something a little more authentic.
