Travelodge Perth Reviews
Hotel in central business district Jan 06, 2016
I stayed in the Travelodge Perth for three nights. It's located in Hay street in the CBD (central business district).
I don't have anything particular to complain about this hotel.
The room was big, equipped with everything you'd expect, it's close to the public bus stops, there's a CAT bus stop (free city bus), about 10-15 minutes walk to the ferry pier and city center with the pedestrian area.
But somehow it didn't feel right. Everything was just average:
The furniture seemed to be old and a little rundown. The bathroom slightly too small, the shower/bathtub not so convenient to get in. After the first night, the housekeeping didn't make the bed because I left a T-Shirt on the bed and apparently they weren't allowed to touch my stuff (never experienced sth like this before in a hotel)
The TV made some annoying rattling noise at normal volume setting. The location - even with the CAT bus stop in front - is ok but not the best. Quite dead area, not so many restaurants in that area. The food in the restaurant downstairs was ok, but not the best.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Early check-in was also no problem. Getting to the hotel from the airport and back was no problem, bus stop is about 150 m walk.
Room rate was good compared to other Perth hotels, which was the main reason for booking that place.
I wouldn't generally advise against this hotel, but I think next time when in Perth I'd try to find a nicer hotel which is a little bit closer to the city center.
