Affordable City Break, Simple Jul 19, 2012
This travelodge is by far affordable with a great location. For a family room we spent only £23.50 for all three adults so we can hardly complain. It is great for exploring the city and easy walking distance to all the main shopping areas and bars. If you don't like walking get the hotel to order you a taxi (a lot cheaper than flagging one down)and the maximum you should be paying is £6 to the other side of deansgate.
The room was simple and what you would expect for the price you paid with tea and coffee making facilities a rather 'cosy' toilet and shower and a moderatly comfy bed. The overall room and hotel was clean and well kept.
The facilities within the hotel include a bar and small cafe area nothing special and a little dear but ok if you are rushing off somewhere and you want to grab a quick bite to eat.
The staff were helpful although there seemed to be a lack of staff especially at night.
I would suggest you avoid this hotel Friday's / Saturday's if you are not a 'party animal' as it can get a little loud with younger people coming from concerts from the MEN Arena and the surrounding bars.
Overall a good hotel you pay what you get for. :)
