Travelodge Bankstown Hotel Sydney Reviews
Travelodge Wentworth Review Jul 25, 2011
I stayed at this hotel in the Central Business District of Sydney. The hotel staff is very courteous, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with whatever it is that you need. They were always ready with free map, directions, and any other way that they could help you.
This particular hotel was located on Wentworth Avenue, just down the street from the beautiful Hyde Park, about a 15 minute walk from Darling Harbour, and a 40 minute walk from the Harbour Bridge and The Opera House. The hotel, in my opinion, is in a great location.
The room was nice, comfortably furnished, and had a kitchenette, consisting of a microwave, sink, and refrigerator. Plates, bowls, and cups are provided as well as instant coffee, tea, sugar, and Equal artificial sweetener.
There is also, included, an in-room safe to store your valuables. You set your own code.
The hotel is very secure. You'll need a key card to access the lift (elevator) as well as your room.
The only downside to the hotel is Internet access. It's very expensive. They charge $11.95 AUD/hour, or $19.95/24 hours, or $99.95/7 days to access the Internet AND you have to be on the executive level floors, 14 - 18 to even be able to purchase/access it. The executive level floors cost an additional $30/night.
In the lobby, they have a few computers where you can access the Internet for $2 for 20 minutes, or $6/hour. This is good for checking e-mail.
I would recommend this hotel if you don't need much Internet access; however, that said, as I use the Internet a lot to blog and such, I wouldn't recommend it, but that was the only negative aspect.
In the end, I went to Starbucks and McDonald's, about 3 blocks away on Elizabeth Avenue to use their WiFi. McDonald's has free WiFi.

great location and value for sydney Mar 19, 2011
The travelodge is not a luxury hotel but was very comfortable .bed and bedding were comfortable. Room came with coffee needs, ironing needs, safe, microwave, tv and fridge. Very close to museum station and the free (green) bus stops on elizabeth street across from hyde park. These stops will give you access to the entire city. I spend very little time in the hotel, just sleep and shower and i'm off to explore
