Student Discount Jul 02, 2011
For those who happen to be able to afford to travel using a student status, you're in luck! UK does student discount nearly everywhere. It's never a loss to ask when you purchase anything.

Take shopping for example. Students can get up to 30% off original price (or free goodies stuff) if they present their student card at Levis! Particularly when you do your shopping during 'fresher's week'. Fresher's week is the first week for student's who are doing their first year at university. This varies between cities so do some research if you plan to do major shopping. You can save 100's of £!

Another example can be transportation. Students gets the benefit of travelling at half the price of an adult! A under 25 railway care (known as young person's railway card @ approximately £30) is also a useful thing to have if you're going to travel around in UK! You can order them online. It entitles you to purchase cheap tickets. Go onto a railway website such as www.virgintrains.com and DO book in advance. Say for example a train ticket purchased on the day without a young person railway card can be up to £60. However, if you buy in advance with a young person this can be only £9!

Entertainment wise you can get student discount for cinema tickets! If you wonder around west end London (where the theatre's are) slightly before showing times and walk around and ask if they have some unsold tickets available for students (depending on your luck that day) you can get extremely cheap theatre tickets which have the best seats for very low price!
