Trattoria La Siciliana Berkeley Reviews
the great neighbourhood trattoria with made from scratch dishes and fish cut that day Sep 29, 2012
This is small narrow family trattoria. We had dinner there at Saturday evening. We were lucky because came 4-30 pm 30 minutes before openning. After 5 pm was a big line to have a seat. So, if you plan to have a dinner at trattoria make a reservation.
Trattoria has two different seating options you can either dine on the 1st level or 2nd level. We ate on the first level close to a window. On the 1st level it is charming and dimly light for a romantic feel. This place has a lot of sicilian character - painted small murals on the wall of Sicilian landscape.
The upper level is more intimate and good for large parties. Doesn't matter where is your seat you feel a welcome. The staff treat you like family.
For the start they bring you delicious bread, and to dip, olive oil infused with a bunch of herbs, garlic and chili fakes.
Hairloom salad- for those who like tomatoes and mozarella- was delicious.
Penne al Pesto: the most green pesto I've ever seen. Just as green as it is, that's just about as delicious you should expect it to be! $12
Fresh caught albatore tuna with onion was amazing! Big portion - 16$
They don't accept credit cards, just cash.
