Trattoria La Puritate Gallipoli Reviews
Seafood restaurant! Dec 30, 2011
Going along the Riviera Nazario Sauro,we were lucky to find the closest parking space from La Puritate,a busy Michelin rated restaurant next to the 17th century church of Santa Maria della Purità in the old Gallipoli area and decided to have seafood and fish.
The impressive seafood antipasti is an array of hot and cold starters including raw shrimps,au gratin spicy mussels, tuna marinated in olive oil and lemon, sliced tender octopus and squid...
As main my wife had a well-cooked tuna and me a delicious squid.
We washed all with a local archetypical chardonnay wine,a Pietrabianca Castel del Monte from Tormaresca thas was great in the nose and the mouth(in the past famous for its plonks,Apulia is the main producer of wines in Italy and now many producers shift to quality wines.)
Around 40 euro a head with the wine and a coffee.
