Transportes Chihuahuenses Reviews
C'mon feel the noise! Jul 23, 2011
Transportes Chihuahuenses is one of the many bus lines in Mexico. It provides service mostly to the north of Mexico, mainly the routes between the nothern states of Chihuahua, Coahuila and Nuevo Leon to central cities like Guadalajara and Mexico City and points in between.
There's nothing bad to say about the seats and comfort of these buses because it's pretty good. The price is also average and not too high.
But there are two things I have to complain about this bus line. First is their "entertainment" system. They will play bad B-series movies continuosly at full ambient volume during your trip. It's like being forced into a cinema theater. The volume is so loud that there's nothing you can do to avoid it, you can't sleep, you can't read and you can't even listen to your own headphones. You MUST listen to the movies. They seem to think everybody loves movies about loser football teams winning a championship, or silly dancers winning a local contest.
The forced cinema will not end until 1:00 AM approximately, and then it will resume again, at 7:00 AM sharp. If you can tolerate this, then there is no problem for you riding these buses. For me it was a nightmare and I almost wanted to kill myself.
The second thing is their air conditioning system. It seems that a temperature in the 40s is their definition for comfort. Don't ever take any of these buses without a blanket unless you are like from Alaska. I don't understand the need to freeze us to death, but it seem to be a company policy that you just can't escape from.
If they would solve these two problems this bus line would be pretty good. Ehmmm it would be Primera Plus. Enough said.
