Transit Backpacker Hobart Reviews
Transit Backpackers Dec 15, 2010
This is a standard cheap hostel for the area and located very centrally. The supermarkets are a fair walk away, but the main CBD and bus station are very close.
Plenty of free information is available from the helpful staff, and on the whole it is a decent option for a hostel. Dorms are comfortable and the bathrooms are fine. The kitchen is a bit cramped around standard meal times, but it’s more than passable. There are internet terminals available at slightly cheaper than town prices, but the connection is quite painful at times. I believe there are some plans in the imminent future for WiFi though to sort that little problem out.
Nothing exception, but nothing bad either. It is reasonably friendly with the communal areas, but after 10pm it is a quiet place to be. As the name suggests, use it for a short stay to see the rest of Tasie. Hobart doesn’t particularly have too much to hang around for.
