Traders Inn Bandar Seri Begawan

I stayed in this hotel once when I was too sleepy to drive back home. I checked in around 10pm, the light in the lobby was already dimmed but luckily the frontdesk was there to attend any late check-ins (which was me in this case). The price for the cheapest room there was 50 brunei dollars which is probably around 25usd. However they do ask for deposits which added up the price to around 50usd. They return the extra during check out. I was not sure what their reason for such big deposit but I was too sleepy then to argue and paid anyway.

The room was very spacious though it can look a bit dull. It has all the basic essentials such as comfortable kingsize bed (with clean sheets and pillows), tv, carpeted room (vacuumed) and airconditioner. The bathroom is okay with hot n cold shower (no tub). They also give complimentary toiletries such as toothbrush (which was a blessing for me then) and soap.

The only downside of the place is that it is a bit far off from the capital and Gadong (where most of the happenings happen). The hotel provide taxi service though, but I think you have to pay for that. And you have to remember, taxi is a very rare species in Brunei. There is a very big Wal-mart alike mall called Supasave right next door to the hotel so you can always go there to buy food and other stuff that you might need.
