Toyoko Inn Hakata Nishi-nakasu
Toyoko Inn Hakata Nishi-nakasu Reviews
Most friendly, clean, centrally located business hotel Mar 18, 2009
I came directly from Europe in February to Fukuoka, through Narita, late, on a cold evening. I took the Metro and at Nakasu subway station a taxi. Very close!
Stepping into the Toyoko Inn Hakata Nishi-nakasu, I found a modest but nice reception hall. As in all Japanese hotels, coin machines for drinks and ice were there-. The best came when I was shown my room, comfortable , a large bed, no exess room, but large enough. And clean! The bath room equipped with modern technology, clean and adequate. In spite of the late hour, many restaurants were open in the very neighborhood, I decided to go for the "yatai" stalls (tents), not 100m away, some were still open and I had very good "ramen" and lovely company of some ten or twelve people. It was cold outside! Because of the time lag, I slept next day late, without the usual disturbance of the cleaning personell. One of the merits of the hotel was the respect for their guests. I was allways alone, but I never felt in my travel a more friendly and descret atmosfere. Excursions into the neighboring cities (I was after porcellain) were without problems: Due to the closeness of Hagata Station and the subway. I would highly recomend this hotel for travellers who are interested in the country and not so much in luxory. This is the best I could ever expect. Qara 2009-02-20 |

Great location in amongst it all Sep 02, 2008
My second Toyoko Inn. Granted I booked it at the same time as I booked the first, so I didn't really know what to expect.
Much the same as the Toyoko Inn in Nagasaki I stayed in. Around 5500 Yen per night for a single. Large bed, tiny room, absolutely spotless. Free simple breakfast of rice, soup, and coffee or tea. Free internet, and a coin laundry. All great for the traveller. The biggest plus about this Toyoko Inn was the location. I picked it based on the location in amongst Tenjin and close to the Nakagawa. It's just a few minutes walk from the subway station, street vendors, restaurants, the shopping malls of Tenjin, Canal City. The staff here speak a bit of English and are very friendly. All up, unless I can find something cheaper with the same convenience of location in Fukuoka, I'd definitely stay here again. Part of the Life in Korea; 2007-8 travel blog |
