Tour Montparnasse Dec 23, 2016
At 210 m (689 ft) tall, the Tour Montparnasse (Montparnasse Tower ) is France's tallest skyscraper. It is an office building located above the Paris Metro station Montparnasse-Bienvenüe. Europe's fastest elevator takes visitors to the 56th floor, a height of 643 ft/196 m, in just 38 seconds, where there is a breathtaking 360° view of the city and beyond. A restaurant is located on the 56th floor, as well.

I love to see the view of paris from here at night, the view of Eiffel Tower really spectacular with the light

Tour Montparnasse 56 is open every day of the year from 09:30 am to 22:30 (10:30 pm)(till 23:30/11:30 pm in summer), but latest entry is 30 minutes before closing.

Admission costs 13.00 € for adults.

Good alternative Apr 03, 2013
Tour Montparnasse is a highrise building in Paris. On the top floor of this building is an observation deck. From this deck you can see the city of Paris in total.

At the deck is a little souvenir shop and a restaurant. There are also some animation screen, where you can find some info about the sight of Paris. These things you can find inside, when you take the last staircase you can reach the roof of the tower in the open air. The only seperation on the edge of the roof is a steel frame with glass panels in between.

The highrise building is a good alternative to avoid the long rows at the entrance of the Eiffel tower. At Tour Montparnasse there could be also a row, but you never have to wait for a very long time to go to the observation deck by elevator.
