We staan om 05:30 op, want we willen de monniken zien die om 06:00 uur bij het hotel komen bedelen. We zijn om 06:02 beneden en zien de stoet van zo’n 30 monniken nog net de hoek van de straat om gaan. We lopen een stukje achter ze aan, maar ze lopen stevig door en na een paar minuten gaan we terug naar het hotel. Op de bovenste verdieping, vanuit de ontbijtzaal kunnen we de zonsopkomst goed zien.
