We have all seen the oh so cheesy adverts on TV beckoning people to come to the carribean, the golden sands, the bluer than blue waters,the couple holding hands and a small child with an overly exagerated smile placed on his or her face. Me being the sceptic that I am wrote this off as a cleverly orchastrated advertsing strategy surely it cant be this beautiful? I was wrong. I set off to the BVI to stay with a friend from back home who has taken residence as a skipper on the open seas.

So last night, our generator broke and weren't on shore power because we didn't have an actual 'spot' at the dock (it was so crowded when we got there that we were assigned a spot along the wall).  Everyone was miserable from like 1 or 2am onward because we had no ventilation and were all hot …

As a somewhat inexperienced traveler, I don't have a huge amount to write about here. However, I thought I'd share a few of the photos I took on my summer cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Grand Turk, many of which came out very pretty if I do say so myself! Hope you enjoy! ;-)

Just a week R & R on the beach with a couple of friends and our kids.Very relaxing as the hotel was lovely.I don't think we ever left the grounds of the hotel.The most exhaustive thing was the daily hour long 5 a side football matches against the locals and other hotel guests.This is the life!!

Island Hopping in the Virgin Islands was amazing! One of the most beautiful places Ive ever seen. My best frined Kira lives there, so I got a free travel guide! St Thomas, St John and the British VI are gorgeous.
