Torrey Pines- Not to be missed May 07, 2008

Ok, So I have been living in San Diego for about a year and a half, which is longer than most places I tend to bounce around from in this nomadic existence of mine and so had to write a review of Torrey Pines State Park.

It is by far one of the better natural attractions in Southern California. Miles and Miles of hiking trails through Sandstone Cliffs and rolling hills of semi-arid desert trails, all of which overlook the pacific Ocean. One of the trails is a moderate hike that after making you sweat a bit, leads down to one of the best swimming beaches in all of San Diego, which is also usually quite secluded.

The park is simple to get to and on the beaten path, but never too crowded, and the eight dollar fee is pretty worth it. Also of interest here is a paragliding park a couple of miles down where you can either paraglide or hang-glide for the day, again with the pacific as your backdrop. Great times- Enjoy.
