Torrens Island Markets Reviews
Fresh Vegetables and Seafood Jul 05, 2009
This morning we were up early to drop people off at the airport so we decided to go to the market on our way home.
We were there by 6.30am so it was still dark. The stall holders were still setting up. We bought quite a lot of fruit and vegetables and then saw the bakery stall setting up. The smell of all of the fresh baked bread etc was lovely. We bought some bread. Then we went to check out the fresh fish. We didn't buy any this morning but it was nice just watching the pelicans sitting around waiting for scraps from the filleting. Of course one of the best creatures to see was the dolphins. The dolphins were just swimming around the fish stalls. The fish stalls are on the edge of the water which means walking a plank to get to them. It was nice to just be there so early, the sun was about to rise. The food vans were turning up when we left although the van selling coffees etc was already there. Part of the Adelaide travel blog |
