Torre de Oro Hotel Puerto Vallarta - Reviews - Puerto Vallarta

I stayed at the Vallarta Torre whilst in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my friend Emmy and her family, i think her family has a timeshare with Vacation Internationale which has locations all over USA and Mexico and they'd stayed at Vallarta Torre before, i didnt have to pay a penny as they kindly used their points . Its located about 2 miles from the airport and a short taxi ride from downtown. There are two buildings with a total of 69 units, we stayed on the ground floor with 6 of us in the unit and we had a lot of room. Vallarta Torre is located right on the beach and the gate to the beach is open 7am - 10pm and I walked the beach a few times in the evenings. There is a large swimming pool aswell as two small hot pools which are great for relaxing in. There is also a great palapa bar where happy hour is 5pm - 7pm everyday and they have a great menu of drinks and food can be ordered up there. There is also a great little restaurant on the premises where we dined a lot, they have great bacon cheeseburgers as me and Emmy found out :) The beach area offers some great water sports to try out such as para - sailing and beach volleyball. The staff are incredibly friendly and they give a great money exchange rate at the reception. A small courtyard greets you as you enter the resort where they have WiFi connection and its a very nice place for quiet times in the evening. Also in the courtyard is a small cafe which serves sandwiches, coffee and milkshakes, they have the yummiest toasted sandwiches and chocolate milkshakes iv ever tasted! The staff can help you book excursions in the Puerto Vallarta area, we booked the Valley of the Flags trip and a boat trip to Yelapa with them for a very reasonable price. A newly built supermarket is also very closeby and has a great bakery there. Vallarta Torre is a great little place to stay in Puerto Vallarta and Id definetely recommend it.
