This is a Bullfighting Bar. It is located on Plaza Mayor, and has walls lined with bullfighting pictures, stuffed heads of famous bulls, and a great deal of matador memorabilia.
This place is a good spot for a drink when on plaza mayor, and also a great place to watch a bullfight on one of its televisions. The interior of the bar is a temple to bullfighting, the photos capturing gory details of what can go wrong in a bullfight, glorifying the matadors that live through it.
On the walls are also stuffed heads of famous bulls, and the puntilla, or the knife that was used to kill the bull. The plaque underneath the bull states the date of death, bulls specifics, which matador killed him, and location. There are photos of famous bullfighters such as Manuel Benitez Perez, a hero to the Spanish people... At the end of the bar you will find a a glass case with a shrine to those bullfighters that died in the arena.
The staff tries to sell you expensive options on their menu, but you can just order a glass of sangria or try the calamari, which is good. Overall, it was an interesting experience to start of your night on Plaza Mayor.
