After graduating I promised myself 'The Big Trip'. I had family overseas that I'd never met, so it was a journey of discovery in several ways. I started with a visit to Toronto, Canada, moving next to Southern California, USA, from there to Melbourne, Australia, and on to Adelaide. A quick stop in Canberra, and then on to Sydney. An impromptu long weekend in New Zealand's South Island, followed by a brief return to Sydney and a long flight home. Two and a half months of travel bliss...

I love Toronto, but this trip wasn't too great. Unfortunately, we decided to go in mid-March, when it was still extremely cold and snowy. The other bad part was that we were only there for one full day, so we didn't really get to do anything. We thought we'd start out at the CN Tower and never really did anything else because it took so long. The views were great, but not worth it when you don't get a chance to do anything else. So, better luck next time...I mean...

This was supposed to be a trip to visit universities in Canada and it turned into one big gigantic road trip.
And hey, I go to school in Canada, so I guess things worked out.

After a mad day of packing and tying up loose ends, I caught the red-eye flight to London. I'm off to Asia for three months of biking, hiking and other crazy activities. I promise to update this blog whenever I have time and internet access, but this might be pretty tough in some places (like the Gobi desert in Mongolia!) I will miss everyone back home, but perhaps this blog will help me connect in some way while on the road. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I like writing it.

You cannot miss Toronto if you really want to discover the essence of Canada. I was wondering what elementary are making this city unique and attractive. But soon I understand you don’t need to think, you just need to feel. If you feel them, you will fill in love with the hometown of Canada and don’t want to go home.
Green Toronto
I believe green is the color of heaven, which means Toronto is a heaven for mortal existence. If you want to take some fresh air, simply go to High Pa...

It was a week Sunday after I had landed, K had signed us all up for the becel cycle ride:
Becel Ride for Heart
They close one of the main freeways (gosh I sound so Canadian when I say that) through the city to cars and open it instead for cycles and skaters. It was a really early start, but it was very cool cycling down the freeway with 12,000 other people (7). We only did the 25km run, but I bought some SPDs especially:
Shimano PD-M324
Then we went to a classic car show in the afternoon!...

Sunday is time to leave. Toronto is always a blast been coming here for 20 years, each time is ecxiting. get up & get some breakfast from a joint right down the street, mommy&poppy. some fresh apples & juice.
check out the hotel, park the auto in a local lot & walk around near the Eaton Centre. Sunday is kind of slow in T/town but not like the past when Sunday hit everything was closed, being from the states was not used to that. in the states captialism never sleeps. meet s...
