Top of the Hub Lounge Travel Reviews

Oct 21, 2005
There's a restaurant, the Top of the Hub, sitting on top of one of the tallest skyscrapers in Boston (see the website). Excellent food, but you can't get out for under probably US$100 per person... There is also a "Skywalk" where you can look out the observation windows across Boston for a spectacular view for another $11.... All very impressive, but there's an alternative.

The secret is to go to the Top of the Hub Lounge, which is really just part of the restaurant. You get the same 360 degree view of the town from hundreds of feet above the city, but it will cost only ten percent of what it would at the restaurant, and the food and service is still excellent!

There is a drink and food discount during happy hour, but even after that, appetizers large enough for a meal are $10 to $15 for seafood served by the swarm of waiters that surrounds your table. Did I mention the lounge has free jazz most nights?

Even if you just take the long elevator ride up for a look out the windows, it's definitely something to do in Boston. Ask to be seated in the Lounge, unless it's a special event and you want to spend a lot to impress someone.
