Tonpariwat Waterfall Jan 11, 2014
Tonpariwat Waterfall or wildlife sanctuary is located in the north of Mueang Phang Nga district, Phang Nga Province, southern Thailand. It covers an area of 224 square kilometres of forested hills at the southern end of the Phuket mountain range.

We chartered a van to take us there from our hotel in Phuket. The journey took us almost 2 hours due to traffic and winding road conditions.

You have to walk deep into the forest before you can reach the waterfall but the walk was definitely worth it. However in order to go under the waterfall, you must be a skilled swimmer and a strong one (preferably big build) as from our group only 2 person were able to get under it without being cast aside by the strong currents. I was definitely not one of them as I could barely swim and my body is too light and get thrown off my the current way too easily lol! As expected the water is very cold but once you are in it, you will love it!!
