Small town = small museum Sep 09, 2009
This fairly small museum fits just about right into the town of Ketchikan. Small town = small museum. Actually the town has quite a bit of historical and cultural collectables and exhibits. A number of the exhibits are changed on a regular basis so the chances of seeing the same thing twice is slim. Yes, the building is small, and it shares space with the library, but there is a downstairs administration area and storage, so the main floor exhibits are well thought out and the space is used to its best limits. Old photos, and items used in its early days are well displayed and photos are allowed. They are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and charge all but Ketchikan residents $2 admission.
