Beautiful monument to the Sultan's wife Feb 02, 2011
Constructed in the mid fifteenth century, the tomb and mosque of Rani Rupvati is an impressive monument to the deceased wife of the prevailing Sultan.

Judging by the obvious expense and effort that had gone into the construction of her tomb, she was obviously highly regarded in her time or might have had the ego and clout to command such a memorial. The stone colour was amazing and I just couldn’t believe how detailed the stonework was. The tombs of her daughters were located further down the site too, but these were plainly done and more frequented by crows rather than worshippers or tourists.

I thought this was a rather beautiful, modest and graceful place to visit in Ahmedabad, and do feel that it should be on your itinerary if you are visiting the city.
