Now, I am quite partial because my band plays here every month or so, but I first found Graineys years ago when I was in Boise to watch a friend fight competitively. The bar is great, upstairs and down, with live music on the weekends. The waitresses are cute and excellent servers and the bouncers are real pros. They keep the creepy guys away and make sure everyone has a good time. A real locals hang, resonably comfortable and safe place to party. My only complaint is that they don't yet offer a menu.

I love Tom Grainey's! I lived in Boise for three years, and unfortunately didn't find this place until too late. This bar has two floors, with a live band on each floor during the weekend. It is a great relaxing place with loud music that doesn't have the meat market feel. Plus, they have free water! Walk across the street and they charge you two bucks for a bottle.
