The city proper has a population of 287,208 with metropolitan population of 651,429, making it the 4'th largest city in Ohio. At its peak population, the city proper had a population of 383,818.
Recreation and sight seeing in the area include, Maumee Bay State Park, The Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum of Art, Imagination Station, which is a hands on science museum; Hollywood Casino, many city/metro parks for hiking and relaxation, and golf courses. Fishing and boating in the area is also popular for some. Toledo is also a short drive to Sandusky, Ohio and Cedar Point Amusement Park. You can also enjoy a Toledo Mud Hens ballgame at 5/3 park downtown, and enjoy the many restaurants the area has to offer, like Tony Packo's Café.
