Toledo and more

Staying in Toledo for a week seems like a bit much. All of the sites can be covered in a day or two. I lived in Madrid and would go there on a day trip. It is about an hour train ride I believe from the Atocha Renfe station in Madrid and the train to Toledo leaves several times a day.I would suggest if you are going during the summer to visit some of the coastal cities such as Cadiz and Valencia to the south and San Sebastian to the north. There are multiple buses that will take you to all those places about a 7-9 hour buse ride though. The other option is to take a flight through a discount airline such as Spanair.com or Vueling, you can usually find a cheap flight that can get you to those places in under an hour
