The Peter Allen song starts "I've been to cities that never close down, New York and Rio and old London town" So I thought why not use the song to plan my trip? Add Tokyo and Lisbon, starting Dec 5.
Include New years eve and Carnival in Rio and check the Iguazu falls from the Argentine side.
My good friend Dave Wylie found me an apartment in Copacabana right near the beach, another good friend from my home in Surfers Paradise, Sudzie, said "hey mate I am coming with you to Rio".

I went to Japan to visit Corinne, it was a crazy trip with a lot of partying. IIt was like steping into a different world though, from heated toilet seats to music going off at every train station while crambed in like sardines, and musical tunes even going off at every crossing. The hussle and bussle, loads of people, and I'll never forget my attempt to sing Kareoke in Japanese. What a trip!!! :)

It rained the morning...so there wasn't that many tourists in Arasaka where sennoji is located. Because it was a national holiday, there weren't that many shops open.

Fortunately some …
