After eating a big breakfast, Nadean, Amanda, the boys, and I headed off together bound for Electric City. This area is the home to the futuristic technology Japan is known for and you can purchase devices there months and maybe even years before they are available in the United States. I didn’t really go for the technology though, this area is also home to a ton of Manga—Japanese Comics—shops. I probably could have gone broke in those stores even though the manga was in Japanese ...

We had quite a big sleep in and at around 1pm went with Andrew and Noriko to Omotesande, 3 stops away.It is an area of designer shops and department stores. And very well-dressed Tokyo-ites are there to spend up big. The world's biggest Louis Vuitton store is here. We had a drink at a posh coffee shop and the prices were a bit of a shock 900 Yen for a coffee.AFter that we did a bit of shopping. We kept strolling down the street towards Harajuku. There was a band belting out some tunes and some ...

Tsukiji Market
Got up at 4:30 am the first day. Didn’t bother us because of the time change it felt like 4:30pm. We were very excited to get to the most famous fish market in the world and sample some of the finest sushi ever made. Tsukiji Market was only a 20-minute walk from the Intercontinental so we walked over enjoying our first sights of this busy city. You walk past Hama Rikyu Garden. This garden is over 300 years old. Very beautiful and you can take a ferry to Asakusa from the Gard...

My trip to Tokyo was great. I saw sumo wrestling and some incredible temples. It's a very clean city and has the most friendly people I have ever met. Can't wait to go back.

Konnichiwa! This is a blog of my trip to Japan with People to People Student Ambassador Programs, founded by President Eisenhower in 1956. We spent two
wonderful weeks on the island of Honshu. Please feel free to look through the blog and thank you for visiting it! I apologize for not updating it, but I will complete it soon! Arigatou! (Thank you in Japanese!)

Not surprisingly, because of our delay in New York we missed our connecting flight to Thailand. Probably half the passengers on the flight were only going to Tokyo Narita Airport for a layover, and the flight crew was constantly getting peppered with questions about this connection or that connection. Finally, not long before we landed, they announced what the story was with each connecting flight. For Bangkok, we were all rebooked on the 6:50pm flight, instead of the origin...

After a flight of nearly 12 hours the airplane finally landed at Narita airport. The upperdeck was quite crowded with me, the groom and 6 crew members. After de-boarding i was invited for dinner that evening by Joe, one of the crew members... Yeeeeah.. That would be geat fun!To made my day not entirely useless i took a taxi to the local shopping centre AEON where i bought sunglasses (..which i had broken by just holding it..) and drank an espresso. Back in the hotel i coud not restrain myself ...
