The Tokyo Sea of Life Park is a glass dome that duplicates different aquatic environments from around the world. Around 530 species live at the aquarium. The 2,200-ton ring-shaped aquarium that holds the tuna is one of the must sees. If you are at the aquarium when the tuna are being fed stop by and watch. It is worth it.

The aquarium is broken down into different areas: Voyagers of the Sea is home to: tuna, eastern tuna, yellowfin tuna, eagle rays, and hammerheads. The Pacific Ocean has nursery fish, humphead warsee, unicorn fish, and shiner surfperch. The Indian Sea includes: yellowband angelfish, surgoun fish, seadragon, and golden butterflyfish. Just to name a few.

The cost is 700 yen for adults, 250 yen for children from 12 to fifteen, and free for children from zero to twelve. The aquarium makes for a perfect half day trip if you are in the area and is perfect for families who are looking to relax.

Hey Erin,

I think there is an amazing aquarium in Hiroshima? (I think) and it has a whale shark at it! A MUST SEE! Ask your Japanese friends, I am sure they will know where it is has been a long time since I have been in Japan.

Nice day out. Aug 15, 2007
If your going to spend quite a while in tokyo and you have already seen a the main tourist atractions, I really recommand tokyo sea life.

Its a nice and fun sea life park. Since it is under the ground, i also recommand it on hot days, so you can have a nice trip without getting to hot.

The fish are really beautifull and everything is really interesting!

This parc is near the sea and you can reach it by bus and train!
