Beautiful and Thought Provoking Jul 03, 2009
If you are a fan of photography, or a bit of a philosopher, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography is a must see.
There are 3 exhibit halls, one usually devoted to Japanese photographers, one to technical developments in photography and one for travelling exhibits. The exhibits change frequently, but the few times I have gone there has been plenty of beautiful and thought provoking material. Like, ponder-the-existence-of-humanity thought provoking. I geuss it's entirely "luck of the draw" depending on when you go and what exibits are on, but the curators seem to have extremely good taste. Now, if I could only figure out how to say "I would like to become a member of the museum, please" in Japanese. Part of the Japan travel blog
