Tokyo Cruise Sumida River Reviews
Cheap and nice way to get around Tokyo Jul 13, 2000
To get to Asakusa, our tourguide suggested to a Tokyo Cruise. We would get on board at the Hama-rikyu Gardens (the original docking/exiting point is at Hinode Pier).
The line we took was called the Sumida River Line and the ticket costs currently 760 yen (around 7 euro or around 10 US dollars). The trip would take around 40 minutes.
Along the way we went under 12 bridges on the Sumida River and seeing parts of Tokyo's wards like Chuo-ku, Koto-ku and Sumida-ku, before departing Asakusa.
It was a pleasant way to travel from 1 place to another, seeing the sights of the city and not being underground when taking the subway. So instead of taking the subway and/or train, travel the city by water for a change.
Part of the list What to see and do in Japan
