Toji Temple Kyoto Reviews
Buddhist temple in the south of Kyoto Oct 04, 2008
The To-ji Temple was one of the first buddhist temple in Kyoto, dating back to the 8th century.
The main area of the temple complex is free of charge. So I walked around the area for a while. Then I wanted to see the garden and the Kondo Hall. I had to pay an entrance fee of 500 yen (around 4,5 euros or around 6 US dollars).
The garden was nice, but I couldn't get in the Kondo Hall somehow. Maybe I missed the entrance or something. In my opinion the 500 yen was a bit too much. But still the temple complex is worth a visit.
