just came from manila, philippines and got this tip from a friend...its small hotel behind a filling station... was so happy to have stayed in it!

try TOILENA ROOM & BOARD near malate. (Php 980!!! for a day, dude, you can never go wrong with them. they even give 35% and 40% discounts on monthly stays!) they just finished their renovation.

its a very affordble (yes, you can say cheap!) but clean, safe, accessible, comfortable and tourist friendly place to stay in manila.

Manila, Supreme Court, World Health Organization (WHO), Casino Filipino, LRT Station, Rizal Park, Manila Ocean Park, Intramuros.

amenities: 24 HOUR Hot shower, LCD TV, cable TV, towels, intercom, FREE WIFI Internet at the lobby,

its value for money indeed. =)... plus filipino breakfast in bed is Php 80! ( US$1.80!)

staff are very friendly.. as their tagline says..

its really ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME!
